BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Louisiana-based quick casual Cajun restaurant chain raised over $8,000 for the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Off the Hook raised $8,298 through fundraising efforts such as selling $1 “Give Cancer The Boot” bracelets, according to a news release.
“This generous donation will ensure vital assistance for local patients, free cancer screenings, education programs and supportive services,” said Foundation Coordinator at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center Layne Bordelon.
“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from our incredible community,” CEO at Off The Hook Paxton Moreaux said. “Together, we’ve made a real difference in the fight against breast cancer.
